We were just about to complete the Solutions Centre towards the end of 2020 when Amber joined the team. Amber wants pursue a career as a health professional although faced physical challenges as a result of her condition. One of our Occupational Therapists, Lois Murray, supports Amber in her role as our Solutions Centre Coordinator where Amber is able to bring a participant perspective to services and initiatives, while also getting more experience within the health industry. Amber is always doing her best to help whoever is around her to live comfortably and happily. At the Solutions Centre, she is always looking out for a unique new 'solution' to add to the centre and welcomes visitors to explore this space full of possibilities.
In her spare time, Amber runs an awareness and support group for catheter users. Amber who is an NDIS Participant, is an active member of multiple NDIS centred supported groups. She is also involved with Rebound WA in the wheelchair rugby team. Does she ever slow down? Yes, on weekend you will also find her at the Slate Cafe dog watching the many cute dogs.
