DRIVING
Driving plays a vital role in maintaining independence, community participation and quality of life. Our experienced Occupational Therapists provide comprehensive driving assessments, rehabilitation and advice to help people return to driving safely where appropriate. We work closely with clients, medical practitioners and licensing authorities to assess driving capacity, recommend vehicle modifications or driving aids, and support individuals through every stage of the process. Services include:
SKILL BUILDING
We help people regain confidence, independence and participation in everyday life following illness, injury or changes in health. Our Occupational Therapists work alongside individuals to develop practical skills for daily living, improve function, build routines and increase participation at home and in the community. Every program is tailored to the person's goals, abilities and lifestyle, empowering them to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Creating a safe and accessible home environment is essential for maintaining independence. We provide comprehensive home assessments to identify barriers within the home and recommend practical solutions that improve safety, accessibility and function. From minor modifications through to complex structural changes, we work collaboratively with clients, builders, support coordinators and funding bodies to deliver solutions that enable people to remain living safely in their own homes.

aSSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
The right equipment can make everyday activities easier, safer and more enjoyable. Our Occupational Therapists assess individual needs and prescribe assistive technology ranging from simple daily living aids to complex mobility, seating and pressure care equipment. We provide comprehensive assessment, trials, prescription, training and ongoing support to ensure every solution is personalised and delivers the best possible outcome.

CONSULTANCY
With more than 40 years of experience, Occupational Therapy Services Group is recognised for providing independent, evidence-based occupational therapy consultancy services. We undertake functional capacity evaluations, medico-legal assessments, expert reports, and independent clinical opinions for legal professionals, insurers, government agencies and organisations. Our assessments are thorough, objective and supported by clinical expertise, delivering clear recommendations that inform decision making.

Our team may send you an onboarding form to complete (via email) to help us triage your referral, and then your Occupational Therapist will contact you to arrange an appointment. |

Funding Schemes & Rebates
Occupational Therapy Services Group is a provider of services for:
- Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
- Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
- Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA).
- Private Health: Occupational Therapy services may be eligible for rebates through private health insurers for people with eligible extras cover. Please contact your health fund to confirm your level of cover.
- Medicare: People living with a chronic or long-term health condition may be eligible for a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, which can provide access to up to five Medicare subsidised allied health services per calendar year. For Occupational Therapy services, Medicare provides a rebate towards the cost of your appointment; however, an out-of-pocket fee will still apply. To access this rebate, you will need a current GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and a referral from your GP.
Funding for Occupational Therapy Services may also be available through programs such as;
- JobAccess
- WorkCover WA
Referrals
A referral is required to access services and funding for:
- All Driving Services (referral from your GP).
- Chronic Condition Management Plan (referral from your GP).
- Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) (referral from your GP).
- Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA) (referral may come your GP or Case Coordinator).
If you are an NDIS participant, sharing a few details from your plan helps our team get started:
- Plan dates and your NDIS number
- Your NDIS goals
- Capacity Building budget details relevant to occupational therapy
- How your funding is managed (self managed, plan managed or NDIA managed)
- Past reports or summaries from other providers and key contacts details

Fees
There is no out-of-pocket cost for eligible clients funded through DVA, NDIS, ICWA or WorkCover WA.
A client contribution applies to CHSP clients as per our CHSP Client Contribution Policy (see more information here).
For privately funded clients, fees vary depending on the type of assessment or service, reporting requirements and travel involved. Please contact our team for an individual quote.
