Emma joined the OTSG team in 2021 after recently graduating from ECU with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. While studying, Emma was working as a Support Worker for people with disabilities and learned the importance of supporting independence and meaningful occupation, and is very excited to finally be able to extend her role by supporting these goals as an OT. Emma is very passionate about looking after the older generation, especially veterans who have fought to protect our country, and currently works to help people to stay independent in their homes and communities. Emma hopes to expand her role into disability services in the near future.
Once a month, you will find Emma volunteering with a past client, who only lets Emma cut their hair (even though she is not a hairdresser). Emma loves all things plants and has many houseplants, expanding also to vegetables and fruits at the moment. At the weekend, you will find Emma in the garden with her partner, or spending quality time with Peach who is her rescue dog.
