Born and bred in Perth, Luke came to Occupational Therapy Services Group in 2018 to complete his student placement & loved the work so much he has continued on as a fully fledged Occupational Therapist. Luke completed his tertiary studies at ECU with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and which stemmed from a love of helping people accomplish their life goals. Luke was exposed to Occupational Therapy through friends and relatives, and in particular enjoyed the diversity of the work, whilst remaining people centred and holistic. Luke comes to Occupational Therapy Services Group with experience in paediatrics, mental health and disability, and with a strong passion to work in rehabilitation in different occupations in the community setting. Luke is also passionate about the area of driving & assistive technology; which he is able to combine in his role at Occupational Therapy Services Group. Though Luke's favourite part of his current role is getting to meet hundreds of different people, in different situations, and being able to connect with these people and share their journey. Luke is excited to see the ongoing developments in disability & the opportunities this provides to people & the challenge that comes with keeping up with the ever changing and expanding solutions. Outside of work, Luke is passionate about living a active and healthy lifestyle. He has trained in Martial Arts for the past 15 years, holding a 1st degree black belt in Karate, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & which he currently trains at least 4 times a week with his wife. On the weekend, he is relaxing watching the AFL or MMA, or enjoying a breakfast at Elixr Cafe.
