Robyn joins Occupational Therapy Services Group with a background of more than 10 years working in education support & where she developed a passion for working in disability services. Robyn completed her Certificate IV in Transport & Logistics (driving instruction) in 2012, and alongside establishing and running her own driving instruction business since then, she has also been working and contracting assessment and rehabilitation services with us since 2013. Robyn enjoys working with a variety of people across the driving spectrum and with different backgrounds.
Robyn assists our service with the provision of OT Driving assessments, and with the support and direction of the Driver Certified Occupational Therapist. Robyn has also become proficient in providing driver remediation, and her background in education support enhances her skills in now teaching multiple driving aids (assistive technology options) and in providing novice driver's with graded and targeted driving instruction. Robyn is familiar with teaching defensive driver strategies and which often enables the client/participant to compensate for limitations related to their medical conditions in driving. Robyn assists in providing our NDIS services, and particularly enjoys working with novice drivers. Robyn has also been providing specialised driving remediation to many of our clients under ICWA, Lotterywest and the Public Trustee funding models for several years with these clients having been referred and participate in driver training programs as a result of having a medical condition.
